Computer Tutors - Volunteers Required
A Bit About Us _

Scottish Seniors Computer Clubs is a volunteer federation whose aim is to assist the over 50's, by extending their knowledge of computing, encouraging them to have fun using computers, and to promote the welfare and relieve the needs of older people by providing and facilitating access to computer technology and equipment.

Member groups are looking for enthusiastic and confident volunteers, able to listen to members and converse in a friendly way to help our “over 50’s” members extend their knowledge of IT and have fun using computers. You will find our Branches offer a great social time, meeting other people and helping them.

Volunteers should have a good general experience of PC’s , laptops or tablet devices. Also, how to use various software and social media sites (Word, Excel, email, Facebook, Twitter, Skype etc).  Enthusiasm, confidence, and flexibility are more important to the Clubs than a vast range of IT skills.

Volunteers required aged 16 and over, travel expenses if required will be paid on a weekly basis.

The members attend the clubs to find out what they can do with a computer/laptop, iPad/tablet or phone/smartphone device.

The volunteer tutors are there to help in any way they can.

We are all in the same club, enjoying the experience, learning, and sharing.

Scottish Seniors Computer Clubs meets in various branches within Edinburgh, East Lothian, West Lothian & Falkirk.
